Karisma Films collected a two thousand euro prize to be used in developing a new shooting technique combining stereoscopic and time-lapse footage. The technique will be tested in the forthcoming WARP demo-shoot in March. Karisma Films producer Markus Kosonen believes that on-demand distribution is going to be the only method for distributing stereoscopic material before BluRay-3D will be widespread. “Stereoscopic broadcasts from the football World Cup will start to bring 3D-televisions into homes. Now we have a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to learn about and pioneer stereoscopic technology, and we are determined to find ways to use its potential in the creation of captivating, dramatic cinema.â€
